 Sundarlal Sawji Urban Co-op Bank was founded when cooperative movement was just beginning to gain ground in the Maharashtra region. Bank was established on 30 Dec 1965 in the rural area like Jintur Dist. Parbhani,State: Maharashtra. It was set up with the primary objective of assisting the less fortunate members of the community in its economic enterprises, to encourage savings and to create funds for providing financial aid to deserving members.

In 2012 Bank has received four awards, this is the first time that bank has received four award in the same financial year.

1) Padmabhushan Vasantdada Patil Best Urban Co-op Bank. (Bank has achieved this award 11 times.)
2) Frontiers in Co-op Banking Award – From Banking Frontiers Magazine – First time
3) Sahakar Nishta Award from Maharashtra goverment – First time
4) NAFCUB’S VISION 20-20 Award – First time

                 The bank is also doing business of General Insurance and has tied up with Bajaj Allianz Insurance company. This has boosted funding as well as non-funding business of the bank. Bank has been tied with Saraswat Infotech Ltd., for CBS software solutions. Bank has been implemented Centralized Banking Systemthrough Swiftcore software solution.

                 Apart from banking business bank is also involved in the social activites. Every year bank is organizing ‘VYAKHYANMALA’ (speech) in the memory of Late.Sundarlalji Sawji. Bank is always giving donations to social organisations as well as poor peoples. Bank has organised tree plantation program several times.
